HIS MARKINGS, A WAY OF SEEING

Peter Favot’s paintings are abstract visual images that have been produced through the years. They are
playful reactions to a perceived reality and depicted as basically as possible. The images are accomplished
through his personal visual markings and aesthetic senses that he has developed during the last 40 years as
a practising Architect. They are not images of buildings or of nature, but are simply unique, meaningful visual
images.

It is A Personal Way of Seeing the effects of light on a playful, imaginary, perceived world. The joy of simply
playing with paint and creating abstract visual images. There is a child’s mind within all of us.

The large volume of accumulated work (acrylics on canvas) has increased through the years to 350 plus
paintings, in spite of haven given many to his friends and to institutions.

Peter Favot’s paintings are depicted in the following, but can also be viewed in the collections of the Princess
Margaret Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital and The Baycrest Centre.
